Salut! Sunderland is written, illustrated and edited by - and principally for - supporters of Sunderland AFC. The site aims to be sufficiently literate and entertaining to appeal to people who do not follow SAFC but enjoy good football writing.

On my last visit to England I bumped into Peter Sixsmith in the Daleside Arms in Croxdale, where I was staying, he gave me a business card for Salut. I’m certainly glad he did as I look forward to his reviews of every game. It also put me in touch with Bill Taylor, of the Toronto Star, whose weekly column I miss. Thanks to all, Merry Christmas and a Happy(ier) New Year.
