Jake: ‘it’s not always pretty’

John McCormick writes: The darkness began to descend early in the second half at the Stadium of Light, and that was before Jake Clarke-Salter got himself sent off for the second time in an hour of playing.

Pete Sixsmith sat through the debacle and his match report will let us know how bad it got.  Until then we’ll have to make do with his seven-word text, sent immediately on the final whistle.

Players go out on loan to get playing experience and to learn. What did JCS learn from his first sending off ? We should win an award for the most inventive ways to lose games in a season.

Never in the history of football can one side have taken so many useless players (!) on loan in the same season. Not a single one has improved the side.

First the cretin Gibson does his party piece , then this . Has any other club collapsed so quickly ? This ‘ team ‘ couldn’t compete in League 1 . Thankfully, most of them will be gone , but who takes their places.

Ejaria is a decent player, Eric. He is the only one though……

Almost as beyond belief as Sunderland’s awfulness is the fact that every single comment posted by Pete Sixsmith, whose words are the most widely approved of all that appear at Salut! Sunderland, is inexplicably “held for approval”. The wonders of IT
