John McCormick writes:  I was in with a chance of a mug for new baby James for almost an hour on Tuesday, then Oviedo got that red card and everything changed.

And, I suppose, I’d better withdraw myself from this week’s competition as it seems a bit unfair for me to get my guess prediction in before anyone else has a chance. I’d be going for 0-2 (Sinclair and Power) so that scoreline’s open to another reader.

There’s no need for you to feel guilty about taking it and depriving my grandchild; I’m sure James won’t mind waiting. After all, I’ve been saying 2-0 since we were a Premiership club and it still hasn’t happened.  Another two weeks won’t matter.

The usual rules apply.

    • First to post the correct score wins. Anyone posting for the first time will have his/her post held for moderation but we will know when it was sent and their prediction will go up sooner or later. (So it can be worth checking some little while after you’ve done yours and changing your prediction if you find someone got in before you)
    • You must have a UK address to which the mug can be sent.
    • You can predict a Bradford City win and you will have the option to receive a suitably decorated mug if you happen to get it right.

Here’s a picture of what a Sunderland-supporting winner could get:

You get to choose the names on the shirts, and a Bradford supporting winner would get a design more to his his/her taste.

One last rule: M Salut!’s decision is final

Over to you.

    Bradford 1 The Lads 2

Back to our winning ways, but still no clean sheet.

      We have a winner.

Sendings off are becoming an issue.

The eternal optimist says that someone’s in for a stuffing if we get the scoring boots on don’t like the look of the goals we concede so sorry no clean sheet but 1-5 to the lads

      Thanks for the effort.

  6. Terry McLoughlin October 4, 2018 at 8:35 am #

They’ve lost 7 in 11 scoring 8 goals. This will be our first clean sheet in a 3-0 away win.

  7. Paul October 4, 2018 at 10:50 am #

    1-0 to the visitors

  8. Malcolm Ray October 4, 2018 at 12:35 pm #

2-0 away win but any win will do

  9. wrinkly pete October 4, 2018 at 1:45 pm #

More than 50% correct last time so I will stick with 4-3 to The Lads

  10. Mike October 4, 2018 at 6:14 pm #

The Lads to win 3-2 and closer to the top.

  11. Bill October 4, 2018 at 7:49 pm #

    2-4 to the lads

  12. Edward October 4, 2018 at 9:53 pm #

I’d agree with the sentiments above; winning but no clean sheet. 5-2 to us.

Surprised and disappointed that no-one has gone for 6-0 yet but that leaves it for me.

Who will start? Power definitely, and you would expect Cattermole too. Dare he leave out Honeyman and McGeouch to start McGeady? Sinclair did enough on Tuesday to keep his spot so:

I expect 4-4-2 with McLaughlin, Matthews, Flanagan, Baldwin, James, Power, Cattermole, Maguire, Sinclair, Maja, McGeady

Bench: Reuiter, Ozturk, McGeouch, Honeyman, Robson, Kimpioka,Diamond

Maguire, Power, Sinclair, Baldwin, Sinclair, Matthews.to score.

As my guess was exactly double the actual score do I qualify for two mugs?

    • malcolm October 6, 2018 at 5:10 pm #

The actual score was half your prediction so surely you get half a mug.
