Pete: ‘wasn’t this supposed to be a walk round the ground’

John McCormick writes:some 7,687 votes have been cast in our relegation poll. I wonder if Guardian writer Louise Taylor is among the voters. She’s one of a team that predict we’ll finish 15th, according to the opening line of her assessment of our chances for this season.

And how has she reached her assessment? Well, she’s a long-established football reporter based in the North East, has been known to harbour affection for SAFC and it looks to me as if she has walked round the SoL and talked to one of the dubious characters to be found lurking within the precincts.

You can read her summary  on the Guardian website

And to find out just who the dubious character is watch the video that’s included – and also shown below.

If that’s not enough then tune in this evening to Radio Newcastle and Total Sport. 5.30pm, Marco Gabbiadini will be there.

Q: And who else, do you think?

Does Marco wear a shirt with Sixsmith on the back

A: Pete Sixsmith – he doesn’t just mark exam papers.
