Pete Sixsmith is back home after his southern travels, taking in assorted games and lots of culture between Gillingham and south-west London. He’ll be at the match on Saturday and you’ll be able to read his instant post-game verdict as soon as the whistle blows. After that you can revisit the site on Sunday for his match report.

But what will Pete be reporting on after what one SAFC wag has called the “Donald derby” in honour of our owner’s lifelong support for Oxford United? A win? A loss? (surely not). Or a draw? If you think you know here’s a chance to put that knowledge to good use, and if you don’t know here’s a chance to make an informed guess.

Or you could just speculate like the rest of us, even if it does make you blind like they told us at school.

Jake counts on another win for Jack Ross’s Lads

The rush of games, and a couple of IOUs left over from last season, creates a backlog of prizes to be ordered and dispatched. It will be done. Promise. And there’s another one awaiting the next winner.

A mug will be sent to the first person to predict the correct scoreline.

As always, all readers – including any stray Oxford supporters – are invited to enter. The design of the prize mug will reflect the winner’s own allegiance. But you must have a UK delivery address.

Ha’way the Lads. Make us all happy with another win …

Not wanting to be greedy, having been a ‘Winner’ already this season, I’ll go for…….

Sunderland 4 – 1 Oxford, however I fancy us for a clean sheet.

It’s coming up to 20 years since I had my first visit to the SOL after being a regular at Roker prior to leaving the NE so I’m going for an anniversary Sunderland 7 Oxford 0 (and that was without SKP and only 9 mins of the mighty Quinn)

All reasonable scorelines have been taken, so I will be a miserable sod and go for 8-0.

    To the lads.

The eternal optimist will go nap with a 5-0 to the lads Peterborough to lose and us top at the weekend

  14. Mike August 29, 2018 at 9:44 pm #

Will try 3-2 to The Lads again.

  15. Edward August 30, 2018 at 3:46 am #

I was going to go for 7-0, but that’s been nicked. I’ll go for 5-1 instead. (to us of course).

    2-2 to the lads
